Fading winter...

It rained a lot yesterday.

And I quite enjoyed it. It made it easy to sit and read, and then do some of the computer work that was waiting. Cup of coffee, watching pouring rain out the window, planning a hot and hearty dinner…I loved it.

Cold rain in winter is as it ought to be. And being cooler, it staves off spring just a little longer…which is fine with me.

However, I did find this.

And this.

The weaker plants in the field always push out earlier than the more vigorous ones. Wonder why…I’m sure The Farmer has a theory.

Nonetheless, there is green to be found out there. The forecast, as far as can be seen, holds no threat of freezing weather or late winter arctic storms, so the baby leaves will probably be fine, and the growing season will begin.

And must make peace that the reverie of winter will soon be over.

I'm with you. I have done an about-face and no longer dread winter but actually look forward to it. There is no incessant drive to be "outside" all the time. There are days and days to do crafts and read and putter...love it.

I appreciate your positive attitude, as always. At this point I am having a hard time being so positive. I feel cheated, no snow, no clear and really cold days, not even a Nor'easter this winter. It's been rain, floods, and more rain. Thank you for your positive spin, I needed it!
